The Phoenix University of Theology (PUT) is certified as an accrediting authority by the Ecclesiastical Educational Commission, a consortium of Christian education professionals, churches, schools and teaching ministries concerned with the preservation of Biblical principals, sound doctrine, performance education and scholastic pragmatism.

Phoenix University of Theology is a charter member of the  International Accrediting Commission for Theological Schools, a non governmental, sectarian association of  theological schools in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Australia and Africa.  I.A.C.T.S. plans to seek certification from the US Government in 2009 for the purpose of qualifying its accredited schools to teach Chaplains for the Military and to provide assistance for veterans to attend Seminary.

Curriculum used in the University system is certified for credit by the Accrediting Association for Theological Studies.  While most accrediting associations are concerned with institutions, AATS focuses its concern on curriculum and teacher qualifications.
